This article claims that men and women undergo hormonal changes when in love. Women have more testosterone and men have less. The lovers are also blind to each other’s faults because some brain circuitry that judges these things is turned off.

So, all other women suck and your own is a beauty queen. This explains how people post pictures of their wives on various sites saying ‘this a picture of my sexy wife’ when, in fact, said ‘sexy wife’ looks like she was going ‘moo’ all morning and cheweing on grass. It’s a good thing my girlfriend is gorgeous.

Oh and women readers… Testosterone levels may drop but there is enough in every man to make him look around. That’s why we have eyes anyway. To keep an ‘eye’ on things that come our way. 🙂

…and we are bigger.

Amongs voices of support and condemnation we should consider what we actually know about these countries. It is easy to talk about immigration problems when all those millions of people are only a bit of ink on the map for us. What do you know about those countries?

I’m all for it. Anything to make the dreams of the naive true. If it weren’t for them, nobody would dare to dream today.

Maybe you would like to be poor instead of being pretty well-off and overweight (overall, us ‘developed’ countries are grossly overweight). Maybe you would like to have to leave your home and country to get decent education, work, respect, etc… When millions of pounds are being flushed down the drain via fraud (think NHS,benefits), Tax Evasion, Corporate extortion and so on we worry about people who come here to work. I am not native and I have paid taxes and have effectively subsidised the benefits system like everybody else.

Nobody told me to go home. Nobody pestered me. I am respected for being a hard-working, contributing member of society. That is what I believe this country is made of, not xenophobic bigots.

What are you?

As the Americans pull out of Fellujah I wonder how many civilians died in this total embarassment for international politics that they have made of Iraq… Let us hope that it will not happen to us. I don’t fancy losing family and my home to war.

Preposterous, you say? Think again. Here in the UK it wasn’t long that there were riots. And the IRA is not far. War lately seems to have become quicker and more unpredictable.

But what do I know? In the face of the grim reality that I can only know what I am told… I doubt I know even the half of it.
